RANKING OF CRITERIA FOR ORDER ALLOCATION IN A RUBBER GLOVE MANUFACTURING FACTORY USING ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS (AHP)

Malaysia is the world’s leading producer of rubber gloves, among over 150 manufacturers worldwide. Based on current practice manufacturer there no fixed guideline in planning for orders based various criteria as each criterion has its importance, and are planned real-time situation. Therefore, this study, to be considered order allocation factories their importance were determined using Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) technique. Six criteria, namely quality, cost, lead time, capacity, special requirement, regulation compliance, identified literature search past studies field supported by expert’s opinion. Later, experts ranked a specifically designed questionnaire employing AHP method. The pairwise comparison matrix was consistent with consistency ratio (CR) value 0.0495. Thus, six ranking top bottom respective weightage quality (25.81%), cost (21.7%), time (20.73%), compliance (16.86%), requirement (7.86%), capacity (7.04%). In summary, objectives research have been successfully met, according findings, can used glove allocation.
